Blogger Permalink Feature: Use Custom URLs in Blogger

Blogger, the best suitable blogging platform for newbies, has always been busy in testing new features in draft.blogger.com and making those available to the users once the testing is successful. Earlier, Blogger has given an option for blogger users to add unique meta descriptions for all posts and now, the much awaited feature called “permalinks” is being tested by them.

Permalink feature allows one to customize their URL to make it look more appealing, just like WordPress permalinks. Earlier, this Permalink feature is not available in Blogger and users had no choice left except to follow the “publish and modify” procedure to make their URLs short.

How to Use Custom URLs (Permalinks) in Blogger?

  1. Go to draft.blogger.com and login with your blog credentials.
  2. Create new post and after writing the article, click on “Permalink” option that is visible on the right side.
  3. Choose “Custom URL” and enter the post URL that you like.

  4. Click “Done” and Publish.

Note: Do not use any symbols in the Custom URL except hyphen (-) to separate the words (like shown in fig)
